Welcome to Girls Trip Travel Group! I am so glad you are visiting our website and getting to know who we are and what we are about. I, Kenya Duncan, is the Organizer of this group. I started this group back in March 2019. I work as an Early Childhood Educator by day and a Travel Professional part time. I am currently 39 years old and I have one son who is 18 years old. I love to have fun and meet new people in different environments. (I feel like I am writing a profile on a dating site. LOL Loosen up Kenya! LOL)

The idea for this group came to me when I was trying to put together a Hawaiian Cruise for my aunt with her girl friends, however they kept dropping out and changing their minds. I thought it would be a wonderful idea to create a group of women that like to travel and are willing to meet each other and develop new relationships and memorable moments together. I was obviously one of those women that did not have many friends and was cooped up in the house most weekends. The idea for this group is what I needed myself.

 

One day as I was watching a webinar about how to use Meetup.com to grow your business at the same time. A light bulb went off! Combine the women's group idea with Meetup.com Kenya! (I am overly dramatic so bare with me. LOL) Start your own group and use your travel professional skills to put together trips! Being a Travel Professional allows me to make money by earning commissions that are already built into travel. However, I am not building this group just to make all the commissions. I want to allow other women to have the opportunity to become a Co-Organizer/Travel Professional or Local Event Coordinator so they too can earn commissions as well! (I can't do all the research for these trips.) Click on How to Become an Organizer for More Details. Of coruse, you don't have to become an organizer. You can just join the group to have fun and meet new people! 

 

While I was formulating this extravagant idea in my head I was getting excited and I immediately got to work! Once I figured out the formula to grow the group it literally took off! I reached past 100 members in one day! I immediately had an event already in mind and about 15 women showed up. I was not perfect at it yet but I was excited they came! And thus Girls Trip Travel Group was born! We have groups in Atlanta, Georgia, Savannah, Georgia, and Columbia, South Carolina. Today is August 18, 2019, upon writing this post on our new web page we now have about 2,000 members in the group and growing everyday! My goal is to reach 5,000 members by our first anniversary March 2020! So please tell your girl friends and women in your family.
